“I went to a party once, and there was a palm reader there and when she looked at my hand, she just froze. And I said to her “I know. My lifeline is broken. I know I won’t live past thirty”

SERIOUSLY? whyyyy doesn’t my hair do this? curse you curls

Dont curse your curls. It took me my entire life until now to realize how amazing curls are. And straight haired people would give up all their boring braids and twists just to have our natural curl. Embrace it.

Simple things like this make me appreciate childhood.
All the kids at my site know how to make 12 different versions of these things. I remember I used to in grade school, but I cant for the life of me now figure it out without one of the kids showing me first. It makes me realize how many small yet beautiful things my mind has erased in order to make room for f-stops, environmental biology and the hisotry of design.

“The scrapbook is designed so that it can be cut in half slowly using the carving knife provided. Then each partner can take a half and shape it to their own desire. The time spent splitting and carving the object should help to build this emotional bond between user and object. The more exclusive materials hope to raise the value of our digital objects today.” (via Presence in Absence

“Enabling the person to wear it on their clothing or as a pendant around the neck reinforces its primary affordance as a symbol of a relationship. It becomes a subconscious reminder of the partner and during the time apart it slowly starts to fill up with content that can be shared upon rejoining.” (via Presence in Absence
